The Horizontal Line

Negative Space Above the Line

Represents the built environment - a defined boundary, the site, where stories unfold. It symbolizes context, structure, and the framework of design.

Anchored at the bottom, it signifies foundation and intentionality - design that is grounded in narrative and connection.

Acts as a horizon - a threshold between concept and experience. It suggests elevation, clarity, and the moment where vision meets reality.

Symbolizes possibility - the open, conceptual space where imagination and story take form.

Our Process

Get to Know Us

A vision framework turns a loose idea into a clear story—defining the experience, structure, and design direction that guide every decision moving forward.

  1. Define the big picture - what the place wants to become (its identity, use mix, experience, and story).

  2. Establish guiding principles - themes, design drivers, and placemaking goals that shape decisions.

  3. Map the structure - early layouts or concept diagrams showing key connections, focal points, and development opportunities.

  4. Set the tone visually - imagery, mood boards, or conceptual graphics that communicate the look and feel.
